MERRICK MAYHEM 8U Overcomes Long Island Jr Ducks In Face Of Early 5-Run Inning


Despite allowing five runs in the fourth inning, MERRICK MAYHEM 8U defeated Long Island Jr Ducks 8U 9-6 on Sunday. D M, L A, and #50 each drove in runs during the inning. Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. MERRICK MAYHEM 8U collected four hits and Long Island Jr Ducks 8U had three.


MERRICK MAYHEM 8U got on the board in the first inning when DYLAN R singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. MERRICK MAYHEM 8U tallied five runs in the second inning. MERRICK MAYHEM 8U's big bats in the inning were led by an error on a ball put in play by DYLAN and LOGAN M, a walk by CHRISTIAN B, and by ISAAC D.


GAVIN J was on the hill for MERRICK MAYHEM 8U. GAVIN went three innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out five and walking one.


D started the game for Long Island Jr Ducks 8U. D lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and nine runs while striking out five.


SPENCER E, DYLAN, ANDREW P, and GAVIN each managed one hit to lead MERRICK MAYHEM 8U. SPENCER led MERRICK MAYHEM 8U with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
